Congratulations to Chameleon Music, HUMTOO featured music makers for September.

Created in 1994, Chameleon Music specializes in providing original music and sound design for a wide range of media.

The company is run by Mark Taylor, with all of the  composing, arranging, performing and recording done in his own private studio.

In  the last 14 years, Mark has provided music and general sound design for productions all over the world – USA, Canada, New Zealand, UK, Panama, mainland Europe.

Recent credits include:

US Sci-Fi series ‘Altered Sanctuary’ - music for the pilot episode.

BBC World Service – music for a documentary about asylum seekers.

Novelist Maria Isabel Pita – video promo for her new book ’Safe Words and Spells’.

MSN / Chevrolet Malibu – music for online advert.

Original music / sound design / voice over for: ‘Murder Mystery and Magic’ a film by
Rage Productions that gave disadvantaged people the chance to work with

Congratulations to Gary Cribb, HUMTOO featured music maker for July.

London UK Bassist/Composer Garry Cribb has been a freelance Musician all of his working life. He has Recorded and toured Worldwide with many Artists Ranging from Boney M to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Garry also has several West End Musicals on his credit list.

These days Garry is more pre occupied with writing & Composing Music for various Media projects Including Instructional Dance DVD’s, Compilation CD’s and Various Corporate Videos, plus having Music on several Documentaries over the past year.

Garry has been uploading Music into the HUMTOO library for over three years. He has had various tracks used for Broadcast taken from the HUMTOO library.

Congratulations to Neil Cross, HUMTOO featured music maker for May.

Neil’s music is frequently licensed to film, tv and commercial productions in Hollywood and worldwide.

His credits include: motion picture, “Hostage” starring Bruce Willis; “Religulous” starring Bill Maher; “Bruno” starring Sasha Baron Cohen; various commercials for ad agencies including Saatchi and Mccann; numerous tv series including “American Chopper.”

He has recently had placements with MTV and an upcoming video game.

Neil is currently working on two movie soundtracks, due for international release later this year.

We were delighted with the quality of the entries we received. From TV promos, TV shows, short films, corporates, radio commercials and everything in between we were really pleased to see our music in action.

We’re pleased to announce Rob Neary as the winner of the Macbook Pro. His entry used a great track by Peter Godfrey. On news of winning the competition, Rob exclaimed:

“I was shocked and absolutely over the moon to hear I had won the HUMTOO competition…it was a fantastic surprise!”

Congratulations to Gus Caveda, HUMTOO featured music maker for April.

Born in Havana Cuba, Gus Caveda has been writing and producing music in all kinds of different genres for over 25 years. He currently lives in Miami Florida where he produces music for TV and Film projects.

In 1986 together with 3 other local musicians, Gus helped establish the freestyle music group called “Erotic Exotic”. The band was signed in 1987 to Atlantic Records and released several successful dance singles. In 1991 Gus joined toured with Epic recording Artist Nuclear Valdez. After a year of performing live Gus aimed his sites on writing for other Artists. He has produced several independent Artists ranging in styles from Rock to Christian country music.

Gus has been a member of BMI since 1985 and has had songs published by EMI Screen Gems, Joeyboy Publishing, AMG and several other independent companies. He has also had several songs placed on the CW Network, ABC Kids and on the Canadian TV show “Crashed Ice” just to mention a few.

Steve Ballard, the man behind stonelionmusic, had this to say about making the collection of 20 ambient tracks:

“The inspiration for “White Space” comes from the vast expanse of space it’s self, influenced by artists such as Jonn Sierre, Jean Michel Jarre, Isao Tomita and Robert Rich. A lot of Ambient space tries to convey the emotion, and spatial imagery, which I’ve attempted to do. However, I’ve added a little twist on some of it. Not all of space is beauty and light, there is a dark side and in a few tracks tried to convey that as well in this mix tape.”
